20X delivery velocity
A financial reporting redesign effort was severely behind schedule, jeopardizing a multi-million dollar ERP replacement. Upon assessment, Uplevel’s change experts found oversized work packages, bespoke architecture leading to duplicate work, lack of stakeholder engagement and accountability, and astronomical WIP.
Working with us, the org was able to simplify architecture, break work into smaller packages, reduce WIP to no more than two items per person, and implement backlog review meetings and standups.
Uplevel assessment FAQs
How long does the assessment last?
Can I do an assessment with more than 4 teams?
Yes. While each assessment has a capacity of approximately 4 teams, we can repeat the assessment to evaluate different groups as needed. We also offer the option of pre- and post- assessments to holistically measure the impact of organizational changes that you enact.
What stakeholders will Uplevel need to interview for the assessment?
How much of my team's time will the assessment take?
Uplevel sends a brief, 15-minute survey to all developers on the assessment teams. It is designed to ask targeted questions that surface qualitative insights quickly.
After our analysis, we meet with each team together for an insights workshop. This hour-long session gives them an opportunity to see areas of improvement and propose potential solutions. We find that investment of time (being part of the solutioning) is critical to build buy-in for long-term change efforts.
What if I need support implementing changes after the assessment?
The initial Uplevel assessment gives you a diagnosis and high-level plan for systemic improvements across your organization, but knowing what to do is different from putting plans into action.
Our Iterative Change Enablement program guides teams through organizational transformation and helps leaders build the skills they need to create a culture of continual improvement.
