Feature launch: New people tiles show work and people health signals all in one place

A team is at its strongest when every member can succeed. If some individuals are at maximum bandwidth, or are stuck behind bottlenecks, there’s a potential risk to all team progress.

How can managers support each team member and the team as a whole?

We’ve heard from managers that—especially while working remotely—they need at-a-glance snapshots of each individual contributor (IC). What are they working on, how far along have they progressed, and what are their current pain points?

That’s why Uplevel is introducing a redesigned homepage that focuses on your most important asset: your people.

Based on user feedback and internal innovation, we’ve made the decision to push team-wide insights to deeper pages, while bringing IC insights upfront. Think of this as your daily morning news: pour that cup of coffee and skim the latest status of each IC, then get to your day.

We’re really excited about a new call-out that you’ve never seen before – allocation. We are now showing how each team member is allocated across epics, so you can quickly see what the team is working on and adjust priorities accordingly.

We’ll continue to send weekly email summaries of your team’s work, as well as the data-packed 1:1 reports you use for check-ins, to arm you with information for meetings and prioritization.

What will managers see?

  • Individual scores and risks
    • Always On
    • Context Switching
    • Lack of Deep Work
    • Meetings
    • Interruptions
  • Pull requests with risk callouts
  • Jira tickets with risk callouts
  • Epics labeled by time/bandwidth allocation

What will ICs see?

  • Pull requests with risk callouts
  • Jira tickets with risk callouts
  • Epics labeled by time/bandwidth allocation

Want to dig deeper? Each score will link to Team Time (for managers) or Your Time (for ICs). PR, Jira, and Epic callouts link directly to the corresponding tables in Project Explorer.

Summary: The new homepage provides a top-level summary of people and project risks. Further detail can always be found in Team Time and Project Explorer.
